If you’ve been paying attention to the Cognos community recently, there has been a lot of hype about IBM’s Information on Demand 2012. If you’ve attended this annual Las Vegas event before, then you’re probably familiar with the process. But if not, IBM IOD can seem overwhelming and leave you unsure of where to start.
Well, first of all, what is Information On Demand?
Information on Demand is one of the largest global technical expos held by IBM. It is a 5-day mecca for IBM customers to have access to industry experts, technical sessions, hands on labs, and much more. This event covers four sections of technical & business education (Information Management, Business Analytics, Business Leadership and Enterprise Content Management). IBM IOD is held October 21-25, 2012 at Mandalay Bay, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Why should you attend IOD?
Attend IBM IOD 2012 to network and discover. Learn about the latest software products from IBM and its Business Partners. Acquire IBM technical certifications. Familiarize yourself with industry best practices, insights & analysis, and gain technical education. Between sessions and meals, network and mingle with IBM customers of varying fields from across the globe. It's also a great opportunity to check out your favorite IBM Business partners (such as Motio in booth #1005), to seek knowledge and learn about their Cognos-enhancing products and services!
You should also note the wonderful opportunities provided by business partners and IBM outside of session hours of the event. Your time in Las Vegas certainly won’t be all "work and no play." For example, Motio is offering those who register with code G12MOTIO, a $50 Visa® gift card, $400 off registration, an IOD “Survival Kit” AND a chance to win an iPad3.
When is the best time to sign up?
Now! Register by July 31st to receive $400 off registration, an IOD "Survival Kit" and a chance to win the round of golf at Bali Hai Golf Club. The sooner you register the more money you save. Hotel accommodations are also limited on a first-come, first-served basis.
